This is sooooooooooooooooooooo funny……thank-you for the great laugh! Blessings to you.
Church organist: serve LORD faithfully, no applause, no human praise from pulpit nor from congregation, no showboating, hours of practice that go unnoticed
Praise band: see me, see me, here I am in my glory, praise me, praise me, applaud me, I am in leadership, I am leadership, I am in control of your worship experience, I will lead you into the presence of the Holy Spirit, if you don’t raise your arms while you are singing….then you are not worshipping nor filled with the Holy Spirit because I can see you and judge your worship experience from the stage/platform, see how talented I am, love the compliments and back patting after the show, oops, I mean worship, I have my degree in music from a Bible college so I am more qualified than you…..and oh, how I love me when I perform, oops, I mean god (the god of self).
I may be a little harsh here. Based on my history of experiences with those involved in praise bands, all praise and all glory always involved bragging and boasting of themselves instead of what our LORD Jesus Christ has done for them. So then exactly who is being worshipped here?

Thanks, Ann. Sad but true. Well-stated.
