Blame it on the Brain (2) (Humor)

19 Mar

The 80s music-loving reformed theology student was asked about the Blondie song, “Rapture”. She replied, “I don’t believe in the rapture, I’m a Milli Vanillianist…”

Now if I had hair I would not do that to it. As for the Rapture, I know only what the liberals say ( cause I was one) they say that there are too many textual variants to be dogmatic about anything. That was in the early 1990’s…So I cannot even clain to be a Milli Vanillialist. I was told by a friend I talk like a Dispensationalist. But still undecided…

The 80s were a fashion nightmare…much like most decades. It’s great to have hair but it shouldn’t be abused. This bit was a mixture of cultural & spiritual iconic moments. Much controversy surrounded Blondie & Milli Vanilli in their time and the rapture remains controversial continually. I wasn’t making a case for or against. I was just drawing some humor from differing perspectives. Personally, I believe much like John MacArthur. I stick pretty close to the reformed people in many areas but I see the rature and the millennial kingdom in scripture. Thanks for being a regular here. I appreciate it.

Ugh. No comment. We still have remnants of the 80s fashion at home. Remind me to burn ’em!

The 80s were especially bad for fashion, in my opinion. But, so were the 70s.

    Well, I’m a Cerealmillienialist*, so I can’t comment either…….

*cerealmillenialist, often confusing people with the notion that they believe Christians shall eat Post cereal for a millenia. However, they do not.
