Bill & Rick’s Excellent Adventure (Humor)

06 Mar

Bill Hybels: Rick dude, let’s build mega churches by down-playing God’s word and replacing it with happy-speak, drama, rock & roll music, and other types of entertainment.

Rick Warren: Most excellent, Bill dude, most excellent indeed…

Haha, really like this Truthinator. I go to a Christian college, and we have people like this around all the time.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay true to God’s word. Anyone can build an attendance-driven organization but only God builds a church.

Where do you go to school? How much Emergent and Purpose Driven stuff is taught there?

I’m at Gordon College, up near Boston. It’s actually very grounded theologically– we’re nondenom evangelical, so you get a good mix of students (including atheists and other religions, which I find to be important and very healthy). There are local emergent churches that will show up at church fairs though, and you’ll find youth pastors scavenging the campus looking for volunteers from time to time (I know they’re youth pastors mainly because of the goatees and religiously-significant tattoos they wear oh-so scandalously!).
