What does it mean to confess Jesus before men? Is it what so many say in our time that it is a simple profession of faith that you are a “Jesus Follow?” Or as so many do in that they point to their religious affiliation? One thing is made clear in Sacred Scripture…

I have been concerned since last year when TIm Tebow was a model for Jockey underwear and then he went to a word of faith church to celebrate Easter in 2012 http://www.foxcrawl.com/2012/04/07/tim-tebow-easter-speech-at-georgetown-church-30000-people-expected-to-attend/ Here is the church’s website (it has word faith written all over it.)

Thanks for visiting and commenting, JS. I share your concern. Too often, anyone with any notoriety who is Christian gets pounced upon as if they are responsible for taking the faith to every available outlet. I understand the desire to get the message out but there is also the need for the speaker to be careful of where and with whom they associate. This is a difficult balancing act at best. I would caution those who think more work will be accomplished for God by someone who has notoriety in the world. I think the opposite is true. God is sovereign and needs no help from pragmatism to accomplish His plans. Please visit again.
