Vulgata Non Grata (Satire)

Gentlemen, I have done it. Whereas our primogenitors translated the sacred scriptures from Latin to English so that all could gain access, I have opened a new door of access to the young & disinterested of today for I have translated the scriptures from English into Pig Latin… ets-Lay arty-Pay!

Come on, Simon. Don’t be an uzz-Bay ill-Kay…
I had forgotten about pig latin. We did that as kids a long, long time ago. I heard my kids doing it one day and got an idea. I thought this actually worked nicely as a satire bit. The Latin scriptures are called the Vulgate (Vulgata in Latin) and the Bible is largely not wanted (non grata in spanish) so the old dude translates the bible into something the young folk might like instead ala the seeker or emergent mindset… Voila! (the French word for “Look here!” not the stringed instrument…)
